Welcome to Power & Mercy Church. We are a Pentecostal Christian church in East London. We invite everyone young or old to come to church—10.00 am every Sunday— where you will hear great music and inspirational, life-changing speaking.
Our Beliefs
We believe in God the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary
Mission Statement
Through the joy of Christ’s message, we aim to be a force for positive change in the lives of God’s children. Our aim is to make mainstream Christian worship accessible, joyful and welcoming to newcomers both inside and outside church.
Vision Of Power And Mercy
In the Bible, the word vision is more often used as an encounter with God where he imparts special revelation, often intuitively, in dreams, or “in dark sayings.” (Num. 12:6) Sometimes visions can be theophanies, where God speaks directly to the visionary (Num. 12:8).

I grew up in a Christian family, so I was surrounded by God and the church from the very beginning. I was raised in a Christian home, but just followed through the motions of doing “Christian things” that I thought you were supposed to do. I didn’t know Him, I just knew about Him.
I found myself searching for purpose and meaning in people and also in myself. Whether that was my friends or in relationships, I poured my whole heart into them. I also became very fixated on myself and my image. I became very consumed with what people thought of me and was living for the acceptance of the world.
